Sheet metal. Assembly workflow. Biomimicry structure.
A caterpillar inspired by the segmented structures found in many animals—such as bugs, caterpillars, sea cockroaches, and centipedes. Each shell is designed to hold the others with enough friction so I was able to film it moving without any support.
Materials: aluminum sheet. brass rod. extension spring.
